You look at the flyers from CompUSA, Microcenter, Dell, Gateway, Best Buy and it's all so overwhelming. Should you buy a laptop or desktop? What type of monitor do you need? What do they mean by Intel, Athlon, Pentium IV, Celeron, Thunderbird? How much RAM do I need? How much hard drive space? CD vs. CD-RW vs. DVD vs. DVD-R?
I could go on and on but you know what I mean. Price may be the most important consideration in many cases but it shouldn't be the only one. Most people don't need cutting-edge technology, but is that $450 computer for you?
